Dear Author,

First off, you are obviously an individual with fantastic taste. I can tell, because we've got fandoms in common. Mmhm. That said, thank you for signing up and writing for me! I hope that this can be an enjoyable experience for you, and not something you dread. And because of this, I'm going to say it now:

If my prompts or what I "ship" aren't something you can picture happening or aren't what you're comfortable writing, then please, please throw them out the window and write the characters as true to themselves as you can. I would rather read something in-character that you enjoyed writing than something you've forced yourself to write. I've been there. I get it. It sucks.

But on to what I like! I very rarely go for alternate universe things, unless it's a fantastic feat of worldbuilding and you can show me why it needs to be AU. Mild slips from canon are fine, I just don't really tend to enjoy crazy AU. Kind of in that vein, I generally prefer dark or serious stories to fluff or crack. I love wit, wordplay, and snappy dialogue, but goofy randomness has to be the most hilarious thing in the world for me to not be disappointed by it. I'm fine with gen or sex, and as far as sex and content go, I don't have a lot of limits. I like kink. A lot. I would almost be willing to say "the darker the better," but only if your story calls for it. Again, don't force it. But... I do like screwed up kinky sex. Just sayin'.

1. Chrono Trigger
Maou | Magus
Prompt:
Magus was my favorite character when I first played this game years ago, and he's persisted to linger in my mind. I'd love anything with him as the central focus, but I'm interested especially in his early life, what led him to become who he is when we see him... or alternately, something set in the story-path where he becomes a party member. How are his (mostly) human comrades different from the Mystics/Fiends (pick a name, I don't care)? No specific ships in mind here if you want to go that route, though I lean towards preferring m/m.

2. Tales of Xillia
Ludger Will Kresnik, Julius Will Kresnik
Prompt:
I would really love an exploration of their obviously very deep relationship. How Ludger came to feel so strongly for his big brother, and how Julius (in spite of himself) came to love Ludger deeply as well. We see pieces of how the relate to each other, but what was their daily life together like? What were their turning points, highs, lows? I am (more than) okay with this being slash, but I know that not everyone is comfortable with the whole... you know... brothers thing. I personally "ship it" but that's not at all required.

3. Loki: Agent of Asgard
Loki (Agent of Asgard), Thor (Agent of Asgard)
Prompt:
First, please please please have read this and keep this in current-continuity comicverse or pick another prompt. I'm not really in love with the MCU interpretations of these characters, especially Loki.
That said, I'd really like something that plays with Loki finding his own identity. He's not the "Kid Loki" he's pretending to be, but he's not exactly the old Loki, either. How does he define himself as he tries to break away from the old stories that bind him? How does he feel about Thor, and what does he desire in that relationship? Alternately, once he's aware of Old Loki from the future, how does that affect him? Does he still really believe he can prevent himself from becoming that person again? Does he really want to, on a deep level? Or you can write me some Thor/Loki smut. I'm good with that too. (But I still want it in-character. ;) )

4. Maleficent
Maleficent (Maleficent), Aurora (Maleficent)
Prompt:
I spent this entire movie saying "She should just ditch the prince and run away with Maleficent" (because this is how I watch movies), and then she essentially did, and this became one of my favorite things. I want... pretty much anything. This is actually the prompt where I don't have much in mind other than some slightly-dark femslash. I prefer a focus on Maleficent (even if it's not her POV) just because I find her to be a more interesting character, but if you can get me inside Aurora's head and show me how she feels about Maleficent, that would be amazing!

Pandora Hearts
Gilbert Nightray/Vincent Nightray
I like this pairing dark and a little twisted. Doesn't it almost have to be, with the characters involved? Beneath the external charm, Vincent is a violent madman, and Gil absolutely knows it, but sticks with his brother because he feels obligated... and in turn, kind of resents him for that. It just has a lot of potential to be wonderfully messed up. Which is what I like.

Tales of Vesperia
Yuri Lowell/Duke Pantarei
Yes. This. I see it as something that probably happened after Duke saved Yuri, and possibly continued post-game. I don't think it would be romantic or anything, but Duke probably does feel kind of lonely, and Yuri is one of the few people he respects and can tolerate. But feel free to imply or include either of them with whoever else. (Yuri and Flynn, I am looking at you, though in my headcanon, if the two coexisted, Flynn probably wouldn't know about it.) I like Duke on top, here, and kink is A-okay.

Tales of the Abyss
Jade Curtiss/Peony Upala Malkuth IX - - or - - Asch/Guy Cecil
TWO choices? Wow! (I know, I suck. me only requesting one or two ships in these doesn't mean I ONLY ship those, just that those are the ones I want fic of right now!) These are a couple of my favorite ships in this fandom, though I.. kind of... have a lot. For Jade/Peony, It's... complicated. I think Jade has always cared for Peony as much as he's cared for anyone. But for Peony, I think that consciously or subconsciously, he's with Jade because Jade is the closest thing he has to Nephry, his first love, who is Jade's older sister. Yes, that's messed up. Yes, I think Jade is totally aware of that fact, but it doesn't get in the way because Jade doesn't have feelings like normal people. I like the idea of power play between them, either subtle or overt, and, always, messed up kink is okay, though I don't see it dominating here. (pun only intended after the fact.)
For Asch/Guy, it's more complicated feelings! They both kind of hate each other, but they also care about each other. They did grow up together, and they were both shaped quite a bit by Van. There's also the... Luke issue. Asch is jealous of Guy's attachment to Luke, and hates him for choosing the replica over the real thing. On the other side, Guy still has a lot of deep-seated resentment of his own, mostly towards Asch's family and the concept of it all, but also for the part he ends up playing in the story as a villain. I prefer Guy on top, but it can go either way.

Kishitani Shinra/Celty Sturluson
Yes, a het pairing. Oh dear. Oh my. It's just a little twisted. And canonical! And as I was describing to my boyfriend, I like this pairing because "the immortal headless death-fairy is the more normal of the two." Basically, I really do not want this to be boring vanilla het sex with no personality because I don't like boring vanilla het sex with no personality. I want character in it. I want Shinra being a creeper and Celty being Celty and if there's sex that's nice and if not that's nice too. And kink is nice. Medical fetish anyone?

Persona 4
Adachi Tohru/Seta Souji (I like that name best. >>)
SO. Uh. No, I don't really have any apologies or excuses for this. I just love how awful Adachi is and Souji makes a pretty good target, all things considered. Please feel free to make this one as terrible as you want. Dub-con? Non-con? Definitely. This is a great place for those, and pretty much anything else you want.

Van Grants, Guy Cecil

I just want to see more of Van and Guy's relationship and interactions, at any canon point you choose. How do they feel about each other? How do they interact? How do their feelings about other characters shade this very old relationship? Slash is fine, but if it gets to sex, I'd prefer Van end up on top. I mentioned it above in general, but I'd really rather this be serious than goofy.

The Magicians
Quentin Coldwater, Alice Quinn, Eliot Waugh

I really want more of what isn't shown here. I'd like to see Quentin post-Magician King, or in The Magicians before the ending. In Fillory would also be all right, but I want to know what it was like for him living in our world, knowing everything he knows, dealing with everything he's lost. If you'd rather do sex or romance, I primarily ship Quentin/Alice here (though I'm weird and intrigued by questions like: did Quentin ever meet Alice after her transformation? Was she watching him? What was her new existence like? How did she feel about him?) Quentin/Eliot is also okay, IF you can make it work within your story and give me enough background. I want to know how/why it happened, not just random gratuitous gay.

Tales of Graces
Asbel Lhant, Richard Windor, Lambda

I'm mostly asking for Richard/Asbel with this. I do ship them (I ship them SO HARD) and if we're talking sex, I'd like to see Richard on top, and I want it a little dark. Richard has a lot of darkness in him, even when he isn't controlled by Lambda, and Asbel is the one person who always accepts him, including that darkness, so I think it shows. I put Lambda on here as well just because depending on the canon point you choose, he's got a lot of potential to be a part of things on either side, which I'm also interested in. If the slash isn't your thing, I'd still like more of their relationship, especially post-game, however you see it being.

General notes:
The stuff I've requested is slashy. I'm a bisexual-leaning-towards-gay man, and I'm definitely interested in m/m sex in any of these prompts. If you want to write sex, you can even make it kinky. I like kinky better than vanilla.

That said, though, I like character development and introspection as much or more than porn. I love great character interaction.

I love the hotel scene in the movie. I love the tension and violence and raw passion, and I want to see what would have happened if it had become more than just a kiss. Feel free to make it as rough, kinky, or dirty as you want. There's also tons of inner conflict on the part of both characters. I just want to see what other people see in this.

Prompt 2: Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold
(Ivan Vorpatril x Byerly Vorrutyer)

So many ideas. Maybe By gets Ivan drunk and Ivan does things he never thought he'd get off on. Maybe it's something more friendly. As said above, kinky gay sex is always appreciated.

Mostly, though, I just want to see Byerly being the underrated magnificent bastard that he is, and he's always been a confident and comfortable bisexual in my headcanon.

Just... By and Ivan. Whatever you want to do with it.

Prompt 3: Dark Tower - Stephen King
(Roland Deschain x Cuthbert Allgood)

I've always liked young Roland and his relationship with his early ka-tet, especially with Cuthbert. I do ship the two of them, but I see it as a fumbling, furitive, secret kind of thing rather than romantic. It could be set at any time, and I'm also a little intrigued by what thoughts the older Roland might have, looking back at his relationship with his lost best friend from many years away.

Well! I hope that I've given you at least a few ideas, and I hope that you can find something in this that you really want to write. I guess that what I want to say foremost is that if you get struck by inspiration, even if it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for, run with it. I'd rather read something well-written because you like it than something that caters to my half-formed fancies.
